Scanner
For my birthday, Ronnie got me this awesome scanner I've been wanting. It can scan negatives and slides (along with regular pics, etc). I was scanning some negatives and found pictures I have never seen. I thought I'd share a few.

The only way to not get spam comments is to put your blog on private. But sometimes that can be a hassel

That's so cool that your scanner can reveal pictures from negatives! What kind is it? I MUST have one! As for the spam comments- you don't have to go private- just try a few things first in your privacy settings:
take your blog off of bloggers public listing
you can choose to approve your comments before they are posted (obviously a spammer can still try and send something- but it won't get posted without you approving it) I had to do this for a while and I haven't gotten spam since.
