TV Shows on Netflix

Hey Friends! I need your help finding a new TV show on Netflix to watch. I've watched several ... way too many...eek. I'll tell you some I liked and then you tell me yours..k?


The Walking Dead... yes I like it :) Ronnie didn't watch this one with me and he doesn't seem to mind but I think it was gooood. I'm itching for the next season to come on Netflix.

Warehouse 13 .... Now Sci-Fi TV shows have a knack for being... well hokey...but this is so cute and good and clean. Loves it!

I Shouldn't Be Alive .... horrific stories that people live through. I have a new outlook on life...watch and you'll see.

Out of the Wild....There are only two seasons of this one. People start out in the middle of nowhere and then have to find their way out of the wild with basically no supplies.

24...We watched this one a while ago. You notice a lot of phrases that Jack uses over and over again but it was entertaining.

Burn Notice... Ronnie is really into this one.  I like this but it isn't my favorite or anything.

I also confess I watched Babysitters Club. Don't judge.

Now tell me...what do you like....besides Downton Abbey.

Camping on the 4th

We decided to take a quick little camping trip for the 4th of July. We went to Shenandoah National Park and stayed just 2 nights. It was nice to be out in nature for a couple days.

We invited my parents to come along and we had a good time just hanging out, playing games, eating smores and hiking.

We're glad we got a little camping in this summer...we were worried the summer would go by with no camping! That would be a tragedy ;) Piper LOVED it! She seemed like she was in heaven on the hike. So cute.

 

Piper Graduated!

Today was Piper's graduation from her puppy class! She did it! :)

They had some review of what we've learned the past 7 weeks, an agility course outside,

and puppy playtime!

There was a black mastiff, border collie and a boxer.



 

The instructor took pictures of us with her certificate so I don't have that one yet.

 

Overall the class helped Ronnie and I out a lot with how we should be training Piper. We're hoping to take the intermediate class later in the summer. Piper LOVED puppy playtime and the instructor, Georgie. I swear Piper would do anything for her and her treats! :)

Belize Part Two of Two: San Ignacio

After our time on the secluded island, we hopped on the boat and then took the puddle jumper back to Belize City. There we rented our car and drove to San Ignacio. We got there in the afternoon and checked into our hotel called Mahogany Inn. It is right on the Mopan River and had a gorgeous view.

 

We immediately wanted to take advantage of the sunny afternoon (the raining season was upon us) and we headed down the road to Cahal Pech, Mayan ruins. This was Ronnie's first visit to Mayan ruins and we were both excited to be there.

 

We decided to be adventurous and see if we could make it to these "Mayan ruins" called El Pilar. According to the locals and our Moon Handbook it is un-excavated but very pretty with good bird watching but the road there is killer. It was an intense path and it started raining and the water was almost like a stream on the "road". We almost turned around but made it to the site and they were closed....bummer. But it was an adventure anyways!

 

That night we went into town and ate at a local restaurant called Erva's and then ate some soy ice cream at Cayo Twist. I was skeptical about the soy ice cream but it was actually pretty good and the place was packed!

The next day was our last day before traveling back to the states and we had gone back and forth about what we wanted to do (there is just SO much you can do). We were going to go see more Mayan ruins but at the last minute we decided to do the ATM cave excursion. I don't have any pictures because we weren't allowed to bring cameras.

We had an interesting guide but it was a once in a lifetime type thing. It was also pretty high adventure. First we hiked 45 minutes through the jungle, crossing three rivers. When we got to the cave the guide told us to jump in the water and swim inside. After that there was a lot of climbing over rocks, squeezing through small passages, wading through water and trying not to trip or stub your toes. It was so cool. Eventually we got to the part where there were Mayan pottery and skeletons that were their sacrifices. The main attraction being the crystal maiden, where after climbing up steep rocks and a ladder strapped to the side of a rock (how they got that ladder in there, I have no idea) we saw the skeleton of a teenage girl shimmering. It was an all day excursion and we are so glad we had the opportunity to do it! It was also good that we did the cave excursion that day because it rained all day. We actually hiked back in a downpour...we were soaked already so it really didn't matter.

 

Our trip to Belize was a success and we had lots of adventures for 6 days. Maybe someday we can go back again. Who knows.

Belize Part One of Two: Yok Ha

Ronnie and I just got back from our trip to Belize. It was awesome. It was a relatively short trip of 6 days but we are so happy we were able to go.
My parents were so kind to watch Piper....she can be a handful :)

We flew into Belize City and then took a "puddle jumper" (a 12 seater plane) to Dangriga, where we then hopped on a boat to get to our secluded island resort called Yok Ha. This resort is not even 2 months old yet and it is run by a lady and her husband. If you are interested here is the link, we actually found this place with Groupon.

There are only 5 cabanas and it is a very small island. With only an acre or so cleared (the rest mangroves), you get to know everyone that is there very well. We were able to do some kayaking, snorkeling, one scuba dive on the reef and an excursion to the Jaguar Reserve on the mainland.
We also did a lot of relaxing!

Things seen: Turtle, eagle ray, moray eel, lion fish, lobster, lots of coral and colorful fish

 

Next up San Ignacio....

4.5 months

I know you are just itching to see MORE pictures of my puppy. I mean I know you just haven't seen enough...so here are two more. Really I just want to mark how much she has grown! Since we got Piper she has grown at least 25 lbs, if not more, in the 2.5 months we have had her. She was 10 lbs when we got her and now she is at least 35 (could be more!).

We spent the afternoon at the park. It was nice out and Piper was enjoying exploring.

It was a great visit to the park. Then we got in the car and I shut Piper's tail in the door. Ugh...I still feel so horrible. She is fine though...thankfully!!
